A clash between Bayern Munich and Barcelona is sure fire to be a blockbuster, and that is exactly what millions of fans from the world will be expecting when both sides lock horns for the fourteenth time tonight at the Allianz Arena.

Of the fourteen times, Bayern Munich have won 9 times, with Barcelona only able to nick two wins of all 13 encounters with the remaining being draws.

Coming into the match, both sides are on an unbeaten run with Bayern Munich yet to lose a game this season but have drawn two of their last three games. Barcelona have won their last five matches plus the UCL opening round thumping of Victoria Plzen 5-1.

Also, Bayern Munich have the historical advantage of the tie with last season’s two-legged defeat till fresh in the minds of Barcelona faithfuls, Xavi-led Barcelona look a better side from the one the Bavarians have been meeting recently especially with the addition of former Bayern goal machine, Robert Lewandowski to the Barcelona side.

Bayern will be without their skilful winger, Kingsley Coman who is out with a harmstring injury. Bouna Sarr is also ruled out of the tie with a tendon.
