Parents, under the aegis of the National Parent Teacher Association of Nigeria, NAPTAN, have said they only expect reports that would put an end to the ongoing strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, as the National Executive Council, NEC, of the union meets to make the decide on the industrial action.

Speaking with Donpinlins Global Resources on Sunday, the National President of NAPTAN, Alhaji Haruna Danjuma, also explained optimism that the meeting would lead to the face-off between the union and the government being resolved.

Also speaking to our correspondent, the National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comtade Sunday Asefon, said if the lecturers are seriously fighting for students, they should suspend the strike.
